Dissertation:
Packing Them In: A Twentieth Century Working Class Environmental History
A comparative study of environmental inequalities that existed in Chicago's
Back of the Yards ethnic (1865-1939) and in a community of African Americans
in Cleveland, Ohio (1920-1970). Both dealt with polluted natural resources from industrial and municipal policies; and each community's response to what they perceived to be inequitable municipal, state and national responses to pollution in their respective communities.
