Academy for the Environment
The Academy for the Environment, established in 2004, is an interdisciplinary institute at the University of Nevada, Reno, whose mission is to develop, enhance and coordinate environmental teaching, research and service at the University of Nevada, Reno. It is a merger of two entities: The Center for Environmental Sciences and Engineering (CESE) and the Center for Environmental Arts and Humanities (CEAH).
Environmental Studies Association of Canada
ESAC is a learned society dedicated to further research and teaching activities in areas related to environmental studies in Canada whose members are primarily (though not exclusively) interested in social science and humanities approaches to environmental issues and problems.
Environment & Culture Caucus of the American Studies Association
The caucus hopes to bring together literary scholars, ecologists, environmental historians, urban historians, sociologists, activists, and anyone else interested in the several ways that the physical environment effects American cultures; its overall aim is to increase the visibility of scholarship into both the natural and built environments.

Women's Environmental Institute at Amador Hill
An environmental research, renewal, and retreat center designed to create and share knowledge about environmental issues and policies relevant to women, children and identified communities especially affected by environmental injustices; to promote organic and sustainable agriculture skill building and ecological awareness; and to promote activism that influences public policy and promotes social change.
