The Elemental Journey of Purposeful Memoir: A Writer’s Companion, by Jennifer Browdy, has been selected as a Nautilus Silver Award winner for 2017. The book, which offers prompts and guidance in the creative process of memoir writing, is also the basis for Jennifer’s online course in purposeful memoir.

Jennifer, a professor of comparative literature and media studies at Bard College at Simon’s Rock, is also the author of an environmental memoir, What I Forgot…And Why I Remembered, which was one of six finalists for the 2018 International Book Award. Her anthology, Women Writing Resistance: Essays on Latin America and the Caribbean, has just been released by Beacon Press.
