ASLE seeks proposals from members who would like to arrange a panel for ASLE at the MLA convention in Toronto, 7-10 January 2021. As an allied organization, we may arrange one guaranteed panel and propose up to two more. If we submit two proposals for nonguaranteed panels, one of those must be a collaborative session with another allied organization.

If you are interested, please send a 500-word panel proposal and CV to Clare Echterling, ASLE/MLA Liaison, at cechterling@ku.edu by January 24th, 2020. Clare is available to answer questions over email or in person at the 2020 MLA convention in Seattle, 9-12 January.

Proposals should:

– Provide a rationale for the topic

– Explain the panel format (e.g. traditional paper presentations, roundtable, or another format listed here: MLA Call for Innovative Proposals)

– Explain the organizer’s role in the panel (e.g. chair, chair and presenter) and affiliation with ASLE

– Identify the collaborating allied organization (if applicable)
