COURSE DESCRIPTION:
According to the catalogue, Span 412 focuses on a “careful reading of short stories and novels by major authors of the Hispanic world. The course also focuses on the fundamental elements and techniques of narrative fiction and critical reading strategies.” Our readings this term centers on environmental fiction from Latin America, with texts serving as a vehicle for learning how to read literature and research texts thoughtfully in multiple dimensions.
