This special issue for a journal examines queer ecologies in contemporary Latin American cultural production. In its broadest sense, queer ecologies challenges heteronormative understandings of sexuality and the environment. The term dislodges human/nonhuman binaries and exposes their material entanglements, generating forms of intimacy and desire in the process.
