ASLE Mentoring Program Seeks Mentors
The ASLE Mentoring Program connects graduate students and early career scholars with experienced members of our community for career guidance and professional support. Mentorship can take many forms, including guidance in academic scholarship or creative writing, service as outside readers on dissertation committees, help navigating the job market, advice for publishing, and support for faculty members in early career tenure-track and precarious positions.

In continuing to foster opportunities for our members and community to gather digitally, ASLE is continuing the Spotlight Series in 2026. The winners for the 2025 ASLE Book Awards were announced and celebrated on July 9 at the Authors and Awards Reception at the Sixteenth ASLE Biennial Conference at the University of Maryland, College Park. The awards, in the categories of ecocriticism and environmental creative writing, were established in 2007 and have been given biennially to recognize excellence in the field. Congratulations to our winning authors and honorable mentions!
